For the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/indycar" target="_blank">IRL IndyCar Series</a>, the 2010 Kentucky Indy 300 was all about the number &quot;200.&quot; It was the 200th race in IRL history. The drivers would be running 200 laps around the 1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway. And the speeds would be well above 200 mph as the field of 27 cars ran inches away from each other under the lights of Kentucky. Among those 27 drivers was last year's runner-up, Ed Carpenter, who still hasn't scored a full-time ride, and Paul Tracy, the fan favorite who seems to never get rusty. Maybe we'll have to start calling him Platinum Paul.<br />

Last week's winner Dario Franchitti was making things interesting in the race for the championship by closing the gap to points leader Will Power who hasn't done as well as some of the others - including Franchitti - on ovals. Kentucky is an oval, of course, and so are Motegi and Miami, the final two races of the season. Would Power be able to get that monkey off his back? Would Franchitti take the win and close the gap even further? 			<p>A drift driver who has been battling with ProRacer ZR+520 in DMCC East, Federic Girard and Rockstar Energy Drift Team obtained 2nd place podium finished at DMCC Rd4 - Montmagny Speedway - Quebec. </p><br />

			<p>Fred was on fire and push is machine as hard as it can handle. Practice sessions were bang on line with maximum speed and angle. We qualified in 7th position and "Rocks" our way to the finals. Top 16 battles were nothing easy with many One More Times with Greig Basdeo and Claude Poirier. Fred did an awesome job going against Dave Briggs having a unanimous decision from all three judges with 2 perfect runs. Final runs going with Matt "The Wolf" Waldin were great but the opponent finished on top with 2 cleaned runs.</p><br />

After seeing a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/21/spy-shots-2012-honda-civic-struts-its-stuff-in-europe/" target="_blank">handful of spy shots</a> of the next-generation Euro-spec <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/civic" target="_blank">Honda Civic</a>, the North American car is finally starting to show up out roaming the heat-soaked roads of Death Valley. When the new Civic arrives next year, it won't be that much larger than the current car, and the overall shape looks to have stayed the same, though substantial changes to the front and rear fascias are definitely on deck.<br />

<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/spy-shots-2012-honda-civic/#3330126" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2010/09/civicopt250.jpg" border="0" alt="" onload="NcodeImageResizer.createOn(this);" /></a>Our spies were able to get a peek inside the Civic's cabin, showing that the two-tiered dash theme from the current car will likely be carried over to the new Civic. This means we can expect a digital speedometer on the top shelf with an analog tach below, and while we've never been big fans of this arrangement, it has its adherents among Civic fans.<br />

We're not expecting to see the Civic debut until sometime in 2011, possibly at the <a href="http://autoblog.com/category/detroit-auto-show" target="_blank">Detroit</a> or <a href="http://autoblog.com/category/new-york-auto-show" target="_blank">New York</a> auto shows. Nearly one year later, we're still digging <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/06/sema-2009-meguiars-wraptivo-brings-vinyl-car-wraps-to-the-masse/" target="_blank">the idea behind Meguiar's Wraptivo system</a>. For under $2,000 you can design and have a professional installer wrap your car in vinyl, complete with custom graphics and textures. And to drum up more interest in the program after its debut at last year's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/sema/" target="_blank">SEMA show</a>, Meguiar's has picked up a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/cr-z" target="_blank">2011 Honda CR-Z</a> and enlisted the tuning talents of RJ De Vera and rendering artist Jon Sibal to show what it has planned for the 2010 show.<br />

Naturally, the CR-Z Type-F Concept is focused on the matte black and &quot;carbon fiber&quot; wrap, but the real party pieces are underneath the vinyl.<br />
<br />
A supercharger will be fitted to the anemic 1.5-liter four-pot, with a custom exhaust system and a Hondata ECU used to extract maximum power. Accessories from Honda's performance line will join a Tein suspension, HKS components and some Volk TE37 wheels, while the inside will benefit from a pair of Recaro buckets, Alcantara trim and a new shift knob. And while it might be easy to dismiss the Type-F (which apparently stands for &quot;Fun&quot;) as a SEMA show queen, Meguiar's plans to enter it in Source Interlink's annual Super Lap Battle the week after the show. Even with the impending launch of the <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/volt/" target="_blank">Volt</a> later in the Fall, the <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/cruze/" target="_blank">Chevrolet Cruze</a> may be the biggest vehicle <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/gm/" target="_blank">General Motors</a> will launch in the U.S. this year. The reason is money. The Cruze should make some of it, while the Volt and its pricey development and battery packs likely won't for a long time.<br />

The Cruze looks pretty good to us, but we know that the new sedan will only be successful if it is properly launched and marketed. So how do you best show off a refined interior, 10 standard airbags and more hip- and shoulder-room than the top sellers in the class? <i>Automotive News</i> reports that The General will ask its 3,000 dealers to purchase a Toyota Corolla and a <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/civic/" target="_blank">Honda Civic</a> so Bowtie shoppers can compare and contrast the newest Chevrolet against the C-Segment stalwarts from Japan. <br />
<br />
Since the Cruze is all-new in the U.S. market and both the Civic and Corolla are a bit long-in-the-tooth, we're thinking the Chevy will win more than its fair share of buyers, but we'd like to see Chevy stores step up to the challenge of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/mazda3" target="_blank">Mazda3</a>, as well. Perhaps the bigger challenge, though, will be to get customers who would traditionally buy a <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/honda/" target="_blank">Honda</a> or <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/toyota/" target="_blank">Toyota</a> to shop at a Chevy store in the first place. GM plans to officially launch the Cruze in late September. <br />

			<p>I went to Adams Motorsports Park, a racing kart track in Riverside, CA, last night to watch Time Attack Tuesday.  I was glad there were many people participated and many of them remembered me, even I haven’t visited this event for more than one year.  My friends/customers, James and Mike have been organizing this mini time attack every Tuesday evening since 2008.  This event has given chances to many drivers to get into racing.  I really like to show our appreciation to these guys as a representative of tuner industry in Los Angeles.  Who gave me the right?  LOL</p><br />

			<p>One thing I noticed was most of drivers didn't wearing driving gloves (it happen not only this event…).  It was sad....  It is important for not only safety but also sure driving to get the best time.  Our ARD professional series (ARD-270 &amp; ARD-272) might be too much for most of them, but we have 5ZIGEN driving gloves which are very affordable.  It is basically racing kart glove which gives good grip, just not fireproof.  Get a pair before you go time attack next Tuesday!  </p><br />

Okay, so the <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/cr-z" target="_blank">2011 Honda CR-Z</a> isn't exactly the modern-day CRX redux that we were all hoping for. Mildly upsetting, yes, but perhaps this disappointment tarnished our initial impression of this newest hybrid offering from <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/honda" target="_blank">Honda</a>. We still have many questions about its form and function, but need to accept the fact that times have changed, Honda's product strategies have been realigned to the times and the CRX shall remain a modern classic - especially the Si. Besides, this little two-seat hybrid isn't really all that bad. Really.<br />
<br />
What we have here is an inherently good vehicle that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It only has two seats and its EPA fuel economy numbers are underwhelming. A <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/fiesta" target="_blank">Ford Fiesta</a>, for example, is more functional, less expensive and gets nearly the same combined fuel economy - at least compared to a manual-equipped CR-Z like our tester. <br />

But don't write off the CR-Z completely. It may be a tough sell when looked at from a big picture perspective, but on its own, it's a pretty good little whip. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/08/31/2011-honda-cr-z-review-road-test/#continued" target="_blank">Follow the jump</a> to find out why.<br />
